Giacomo Grimaldi $15.00
Dolcetto means "little sweet one." Not only does it refer to the sweetness of the grape at harvest, but also what you will be called if you buy this wine for someone. Strawberry and black cherry notes, hints of licorice, herbs and violets. Noticeable tannins, yet still approachable. If you're not familiar with dolcetto, acquaint yourself.
Fiore Nebbiolo $16.00
A beautifully balanced Nebbiolo. Aromas of dried violets, earth and hints of anise. The palate yields more savory earthiness, dark cherry, pomegranate, subtle notes from oak. Enough tannin to wait a few years, but enough acid to approach now. We envision a glass of this next to a piece of roast lamb.
Rivetto Zio Nando Barbera $36.00
Take the flight list Barbera and multiply the tastes by about a thousand, throw in 70 year old vines and two years aging in small oak barrels and the result. in the tastings notes of our Executive Sommelier just one word. Awesome!
