The limestone soils from Monferrato show in this fun take on Barbera. A bit of Friesa is added for raw brightness. Easy drinking yet with gobs of Italian character. Nice plum and pepper show through nicely. No oaking.
Ercole Barbera $17.00
A super approachable Barbera from Monferrato in Piemonte. All stainless steel production allowing the bright fruit to show in this wine. Dark Cherry, ripe strawberry, raspberry and a touch of black fruit. Smooth tannins and bright acidity. Not to mention these are 1 liter bottles making this an excellent bang for the buck!
Luigi Giordano Langhe Rosso $18.00
A really fun and unique wine. The bouquet is full and fruity, with hints of crisp dried flowers, dried plum and red fruit jam. The light spicy notes are just delicately noticed. The wine is full-bodied, very drinkable, and well balanced. It's best with a light chill, drinks like a bright Beaujolais.
