Yes it is indeed. Only Aussies would turn Shiraz sparkling! Displays a vibrant lush garnet color and a bouquet of rich berry fruits, dark cherries and soft lingering hints of integrated oak. Flavors of bright juicy red fruit, blackberry and sweet plum are held in check with silky tannins and a soft finish. Go on! What do you have to lose!?!
5 Finques $19.00
D.O. Emporda lies right along the border of Spain and France. It's no wonder why you'll find all the Bordeaux and Rhone varietals together in this Spanish wine. Ripe black fruits, anise and clove flood from the glass. Grippy tannins beg for food with this wine. A good amount of acid making this a well balanced bottle of juice.
Browne Tribute $21.00
A Cab Sauv dominant blend with Cab Franc, Merlot, Petite Verdot, Malbec and Syrah all playing supporting roles. Dark, brambly fruits, herbaceous bell pepper and jalapeno notes on the nose. Big body and grippy tannin well balanced by its acidity. A great example of Columbia Valley.
Chateau Aney Haut Medoc Bordeaux $33.00
A classic left bank blending of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Great structure and earthiness balanced with loads of dark fruit, Generous concentration and smoothness that is an absolute thrill to drink right now or further down the road. Kermit can pick them!
Rollan de By $33.00
A beautiful left bank Bordeaux, Merlot dominant with the usual supporting roles of Cab Sav/Franc and Petit Verdot. Rustic character showing cassis, dried red fruits, licorice, vanilla and baking spices. For a 2011 it still has some ageability if so inclined.
Baracchi Ardito $42.00
Intense ruby red color. Black pepper, fruity hints on the nose blend well with the toasty, chocolate and vanilla notes from ageing in wood. A complex, harmonious and well structured wine with smooth tannins and persistent fruity hints.
