Stadt Krems Gruner Veltliner Stadt Krems Gruner Veltliner $18.00

Wine from the Kremstal hills of Austria. Amazing minerality with a body that is light, crisp, and dry. Lovely flavors of lemon, citrus and green apple. If you don't know this grape or have only had ones with little character, try this one for a game changer, this is a big favorite of the staff and one of the only wines that can pair with salad!

Orchard Wine Cellar Movers and Shakers This Week

  • Sur de los Andes Cab Sav

#3 Sur de los Andes Cab Sav

Complex, lush and full-bodied with rich black fruit and spice. A touch of dusty blackberry and nice grip at the finish partially due to over a year in oak. Watch out, Napa!

  • Tramonto Limoncello

    #4 Tramonto Limoncello

Amalfi coast lemons have few seeds, minimizing the bitterness, while the lemon itself is bursting with sweet and sour flavor. The lemons are fermented and steeped in a mixture of natural sugar and alcohol for at least 20 days. Lightly toasty lemon poppy seed muffin aromas lead into almost a lemon sherbert character with a light lemon zest note. Somehow it finishes quite clean with a mineral and pepper tone.

Fun New Arrivals

  • Schieferkopf

    Schieferkopf

Acid freaks rejoice! This dry Riesling shows the classic stone minerality and petrol on the nose with floral aromatics as well. The palate yields citrus, green apple and stonefruits with mouth watering acidity. A great food wine or one simply just to drink.

  • Bermatinger

    Bermatinger

Do you love Burgundy, but not the price tag attached to it? This spatburgunder from Baden gives you a stellar example of what pinot can be outside of France. Red fruits and floral notes accompanied by that earthy, forest floor, mushroom that Burgundy is known for. Beautifully balanced, definitely one that should have a place at your table.

  • Maimai Syrah

    Maimai Syrah

So pretty. Brings a clear nose of Gimblett Gravels terroir beneath lush soft blue and black fruit with lovely violet and lavender notes. Palate is clean, balanced and very approachable. Just a hint of the Northern Rhone's meatiness but mostly bright fruit and enough acidity to hold it in check. Maybe the best NZ Syrah out there??

  • Chateau Redortier Beaumes de Venise

    Chateau Redortier Beaumes de Venise

Wine geeks know of Gigondas and Vacqueras that show off Grenache like no other. Bordering both is Beaumes de Venise which is known for fortified Muscat. On a steep hillside (at 1500 ft!) twin sisters Sabine and Isabelle make this earthy, spicy blend of Grenache, Syrah and Counoise. A gorgeous wine.
