Pinot Grigio Gris

Hunky Dory $13.00
This white blend is unlike your usual NZ Sauv Blanc, an organic blend of Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer and Riesling done quite dry. Shows honeysuckle, white peach and clean stone on the nose with flavors of apple peach and rose petals. The acid is softer and rounder than sav blanc but crisper than most any Gewurz or Riesling you may have had. Yes, it really is "hunky dory".
Borgo Conventi Pinot Grigio $13.00
Within a sunny microclimate created by the Austrian Alps and the Adriatic Sea, you'll find Collio in Friuli. This are crafts delicious, high acid wines, like this Pinot Grigio. High toned citrus notes of lemon zest, lime, with amazing minerality and aromas of white flowers, you can almost feel the mountain breeze if you close your eyes. Bright, mouthwatering acidity to refresh your palate. Pairs well with life.
Astoria Alisia $14.00
Down in the plains of Venezia the grapes gets fuller and riper than up in the Alps resulting in a softer and slightly sweeter version of the classic Pinot Grigio. Nice citrus flavors play against the soft pear fruit. A great deal and easier drinking than the "Margarita" and at a much better price. Plus you know you want the bottle when it’s empty as well!
Foris Pinot Gris $15.00
Pinot Gris from Oregon, light and semi sweet, with flavors of pears, green apples and melon, Adam had to search long and hard for this little gem from the Rogue Valley. Yes, the alcohol is a little high but what tremendous flavor. Enjoy!
Daisy Pinot Grigio $15.00
Almost Alsatian in style, Daisy is playful and dead serious. Soft citrus, and floral aromas with laser sharp acidity bringing stone fruits, lemon curd, river rock and a clean but lingering finish nuance. Body from the barrel fermentation with indigenous yeasts, further complexity from 5 months in almost neutral French oak.
Cantina di Caldaro Pinot Grigio $16.00
From the Italian Alps comes this very affordable but well crafted and lovely Pinot Grigio. Full and crisp acidity without the grassy and lemon character of many from lower elevations. No oak, just delicious minerality with a hint of peach and lime. Bright lingering finish.
Ramoro $16.00
Emile Beyer Pinot Gris $19.00
Natural Origins Bousquet Pinot Grigio $20.00
Yep, that works out to the equivalent of $5 a bottle for organic, vegan, low carbon footprint, Mendoza juice from a very reputable producer. Hide it and no one will believe it came from a box, we promise!
Jermann Pinot Grigio $26.00
There is a quiet corner of Italy near the Slovenian border where amazing food and wine is crafted. I was so ready to write this off as waaay overpriced pinot grigio. But wow, the depth of character here is remarkable. Gorgeous minerality, round but bracing acidity with flavors of honey dew, key lime, and white mountain wild flowers. More heft than the high altitude versions but so complex among the sea of plain over produced ones everywhere.
