Rainstorm $15.00
Cool climate Willamette fruit blended with warm dry Umpqua fruit gives this Pinot the best of both worlds at a good price! Full ripe juicy flavor but with nice subtlety and nuance. Extremely easy drinking and the perfect partner to grilled salmon or pork loin. Herbs de Provence really bring out the character of this wine.
Farm to Table $15.00
A fun and lighter style from the cool mountains of Victoria. Aromas of fresh strawberry, cherry jam flirt with notes of forest floor a touch of peppery oak. Lively cola and raspberry flavors with vibrant acidity. Darn good value too!
Daniel Boccard Bugey $15.00
Historically thought of as part of Burgundy, Bugey is a designation that sits along the Rhone river between Lyon and Geneva. This Pinot Noir rose has a delicate nose of strawberries with vibrant acidity and minerality, making this a great summertime wine.
Antucura Cherie $16.00
A fascinating find for us here at Bitto! From high altitude vineyards in Argentina we found this sparkling Pinot Noir. Red fruits and earthy forest floor on the nose. Refreshing acidity, bubbly mousse on the palate with nuances of fruit and herbs. One to geek out over with your fellow nerds!
Willm Cremant d'Alsace Rose $18.00
We love Pinot Noir based bubbles, and to find one under $20 is all the better. A bit crisper than the Lucien Albrecht with gorgeous light and crisp raspberry and strawberry flavors. Classic baked brioche nose. Why spend 4 times as much on Champagne when Alsace does it like this!
Totara $18.00
Vividly ruby in the glass, a shining example of pinot noir coming out of New Zealand. Tart cherry, raspberry, cranberry, savory herbs, spice and earth, all with mouth watering acidity. Pairs excellent with roasted poultry and a Sunday afternoon.
Dom Bernard moreau $18.00
A great entry level Burgundy for those looking to explore a new region, or maybe you just want a great French pinot under twenty bucks. Bright, lively nose full with floral and cherry notes. Soft tannins and lovely mouthfeel.
Barrique Pinot Noir $19.00
A beautifully ripe and balanced Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast. Bright red fruit with just a hint of blue fruit wrapped by rhubarb, cedar, earth and pepper. It is a beautiful representation of the cool-climate Sonoma Coast and is made to drink now.
Bermatinger $19.00
Do you love Burgundy, but not the price tag attached to it? This spatburgunder from Baden gives you a stellar example of what pinot can be outside of France. Red fruits and floral notes accompanied by that earthy, forest floor, mushroom that Burgundy is known for. Beautifully balanced, definitely one that should have a place at your table.
J. Wilkes Santa Maria Pinot Noir $24.00
From the cool Central Coast bringing ripe red raspberry and strawberry, tart cherry pie, white pepper, and clove with a lovely, earthy complexity. Great now but even a couple years should show increasing depth. A prime example of Santa Maria's potential and one of our favorite CA Pinots.
Gunther Schlink Spatburgunder Eiswein $25.00
Yep, a Pinot Noir ice wine! Gorgeous bright apple and bing cherry flavors, decadent but with crisp acidity. A rare treat!
Edmond Cornu Bourgogne Les Barrigards $30.00
This is a lovely little red from a single vineyard situated near Beaune which captures the essence of this area. The wine features the high spice tones that are a classic feature of this section of the Cote de Beaune. Light, slightly nervy, with an exuberance that makes this a fine companion to any of our creamy cheeses or tangy goats milk cheeses.
N.S. Della Neve $30.00
What?? Two of the best red grapes for sparkling finally put together in a 50/50 blend from Barolo of all places. Smoky cherry nose, lean strawberry and some stone character. Completely farmed by hand on steep slopes, this crisp and clean bubbly is a favorite, when we can get it that is!
Cristom Mt. Jefferson Pinot Noir $34.00
Light ruby color. The Mt Jefferson Cuvee displays crushed raspberry, strawberry and red currant aromas. There are higher tones of tomato leaf and cola berry along with some brambly notes. It follows through on the palate with a core of ripe red fruits and notes of spicy complexity (cinnamon, allspice). Lower octave flavors of truffle and forest floor are forming as the wine rounds out in the finish.
Hippolyte Reverdy $34.00
Sancerre is well known for its production of Sauvignon Blanc. This small production of Sancerre Rouge focuses on Pinot Noir following the Burgundy model. Meaning you can get a high quality Burgundy style Pinot without the Burgundy price. Gorgeous cherries and ripe strawberries, subtle earthy tones, great acid and lengthy finish.
Whitcraft Winery $35.00
Alongside the vineyards of Master Somm Raj Parr in Santa Barbara lies this producer. Whitcrafts pinot noir shows delicate rose petals, bright cherry, raspberry and cranberry and beautiful acidity. Vinified in stainless and spends time in neutral oak. A gorgeous California Pinot.
Gachot Monot Cote de Nuits $40.00
Parigot Volnay $46.00
Volnay is between Pommard and Meursault and often produces the best reds of the Cote de Beaune. Structured and silky, with elegance and plenty of delicious Pinot Noir fruit, black cherries, soft forest leaves, a wisp of tannic structure and lively acid. Don't touch this unless you're prepared to have your heart and palate stolen. How this is the same grape as Meomi I'll never know...
Vidon Brigita $49.00
Using clone 777 exclusively this Willamette award winner shows rich, ripe fruit of blackberry with jammy plum and a hint of herbal character. Also shows some dark cherry, cocoa and leather. Best of their clonal selections with great complexity and a lengthy finish.
Canard-Duchene p181 $50.00
These grapes have been grown organically for years and years, the French just dont want to go through the trouble and cost of becoming certified. These grapes were selected from villages surrounding Riems. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier bringing gorgeous aromas of fresh brioche, strawberry, cherry blossom, apple and pear. Beautiful mouthfeel, can pair well with any meal or stand alone.
Chateau Marsannay $52.00
