Sierra Cantabria $14.00
Cosecha is the new Joven. That's not a new T.V. show, but it is the designation of this Rioja. 100% Tempranillo with no minimum ageing requirements. Young, fresh, ripe black fruits, hints of leather. Great structure and well balanced.
Sierra Cantabria Rose $15.00
This blend from Rioja is a very easy drinking wine with scents of strawberries, pomegranate, and underlying cantaloupe. The palate is more full-bodied and vivacious with notes of strawberry, watermelon, and aniseed with some good acidity to it still. Enjoy this by itself or with a hearty pasta or seafood dish!
La Cana $19.00
A step up from your average Albarino. From the beautiful coastal region of Galicia in Spain, this juice has a lot going on! A floral bouquet on the nose with minerals and herbs. Peach and apricot on the palate. More complex than you'd expect, not an entry level Albarino.
C.V.N.E Blanco $24.00
This famed Rioja producer brings us a delicious blanco. Viura is blended with 20% Fino Sherry for a spectacularly well balanced wine. Green apple, white blossom and stone fruits while the sherry provides a slightly oxidized nutty character. Bigger bodied white with great acidity and finish.
Lopez De Heredia Tondonia Reserva 2006 $49.00
Intense aromas of cigar box, dried fruits, dried plums, licorice and flowers. Aged for 6 years in old American oak barrels. This lovely Rioja has both lean and full body, still great acidity and round and ripe textured tannins. Intense and powerful fruit with a spicy finish the last a good while. A traditional blend and style. At 13 you can drink her now or wait another 10.
