Proving we will look anywhere in our quest for wines comes a Spanish Tempranillo made by a German winemaker in the style we usually see reserved for Blaufrankish or Dornfelder. Lovely dark fruit, bit lower alcohol, and great with just a touch of chill. A bit sweet but not too much, this is an affordable fun red that goes down easy!



Laya Laya $11.00

From Castilla-La Mancha in Central Spain, a unique blend made with the Garnacha Tintorera grape. Not only is the skin red, but so is the flesh. This provides a sturdy structure and noticeable tannins. Aged only 4 months in oak, this wine has luscious red and black fruits with hints of spice. Definitely one you should try, especially at this price!



Sierra Cantabria Sierra Cantabria $14.00

Cosecha is the new Joven. That's not a new T.V. show, but it is the designation of this Rioja. 100% Tempranillo with no minimum ageing requirements. Young, fresh, ripe black fruits, hints of leather. Great structure and well balanced.



Torremoron Torremoron $15.00

Quintanamanvirgo has 94 inhabitants, a bar and this winery. From higher elevation and ancient bush vined tempranillo, this is one of the most intense, but still lively and bright Tempranillos you'll ever taste. Vines were planted from 1914 - 1934 and produce grapes with remarkable concentration and delightful complexity! How this much wine comes all the way here at this price is crazy. Enjoy!

Rioja is known for its beautiful wines, but it can also carry with it a hefty price tag. this cosecha is young, vibrant and a steal of a deal! Luscious black cherry, blackberry, fennel, licorice and a savory smokiness. Lovely, chewy tannins that scream for a grilled steak or jamon and manchego. A beautiful Rioja that wont break the bank!

Are you a fan of red blends? Oh yeah? What kinds? This will take some of the guess work out for you. Garnacha, Carignan, Tempranillo, merlot and Syrah all play very well together in this delicious Spanish blend. Stewed cherry and strawberry, baking spice with lovely structure. A remarkable white aged 11 months on the lees in French oak from a grape we'd never heard of and one we've never seen in Ribero. The rich buttery oak is the perfect foil for vibrant acidity and richness. Flavors of key lime, peach, apricot, toasty oak, and more. One of our favorites!

The Rioja Alta region boasts not only some of the most historic vineyards of the area, but it is also the cools\est, and has the altitudes in Rioja. This allows for structured tempranillo balanced with acidity and complex flavors. This reserva shows beautiful black fruit, cedar, fresh dill and coconut from its time spent in 100% American oak.
