Trebium $19.00
Old vine Trebbiano allowed a short time of skin contact and also aged six months on the lees. All this means is this wine is concentrated with flavor and aroma and has a beautiful texture on the palate. Melon and tropical fruits, beeswax and floral notes as well. All in all, delicious!
Calvo Vin Santo del Chianti $32.00
Curing the plague since 1348, this "holy wine" is crafted from selected late harvest bunches left to whither on straw mats for 2 months. After painstakingly meticulous selection they are then gently pressed, sealed in oak to ferment for 4 or 5 years. A gorgeous amber, this dessert lovely is medium sweet with hints of tangerine peel and toasted nuts and toffee nuts.
Marchesi Castello Monastero Lunanuova Vin Santo del Chianti $48.00
Made from 80% Malvasia and 20% Trebbiano grapes dried for about 2 months before aging in traditional oak barrels for 5 years. The appearance is a gorgeous amber, crazy big aromas that are mature yet lively showing plenty of soft oak, caramel, orange peel, rosemary, spruce, with pretty floral hints. The palate adds honey with its medium sweetness and balancing acidity.
