February is Piedmont Month

So starting in 2020, we're going to be featuring a famous wine region EVERY month. And since we get to pick, we chose the Piedmont. Come in during February and try some of the Piedmont's most famous characters as well as hidden gems. We'll be pouring an amazing Moscato, a steely Gavi, an electric Arneis, a friendly Dolcetto, a sassy Barbera and the always sexy Barolo.

We even made a little YouTube video on the region and the wines. It's a little geeky but you know how we are! We'll be pouring flights and glasses as well as having incredible prices on bottles as well!

    Sori Gramella refers to the one of the only single vineyard Moscatos, and Marco is the only producer to bottle this striking limestone amphitheater commercially. Once the 30 year old vines give up their bounty, and the grapes are harvested and pressed, they are kept in stainless steel at a low temperature to prevent fermentation until an order is received in order to provide the freshest wine possible.     A.D. Laws Four Grain Straight Bourbon

    This four grain whiskey uses a blend of rye, wheat and barley sourced from the Colorado Malting Company, and corn from Briess Malting in Wisconsin - encompassing the "mother grains" of bourbon. The whiskey ages about 3 years, all year round to capture the seasonal nuances from the ever-changing Colorado mountain air, in new, 53 gallon charred oak barrels source from Independent Stave Company.

    So pretty. Brings a clear nose of Gimblett Gravels terroir beneath lush soft blue and black fruit with lovely violet and lavender notes. Palate is clean, balanced and very approachable. Just a hint of the Northern Rhone's meatiness but mostly bright fruit and enough acidity to hold it in check. Maybe the best NZ Syrah out there??
